Splashball

(Ages 10 and under) – Starting April 30th! $65/month Saturday 10 am – 11 am

Introducing Splashball! Splashball is a mini-version of our beloved sport. It is a way to introduce younger kids to water polo. What better way to enjoy the sun of South Florida than in a pool with a ball! Splashball is the perfect way for younger kids to become more confident in the water, while enjoying a team activity.

Starting April 30th, our Splashball program is open to kids 10 and under. Practices will be every Saturday from 10am-11am through the entire summer. The fee for the program will be $65 a month. Our splash ball program will be run by Coach Anna Rosen. Coach Rosen played Division 1 Water Polo at Marist College. She has experience running youth swim lesson programs, ages 6 months to adult. Coach Rosen is currently a nurse with experience in pediatric nursing. Most importantly, she knows how to make it fun! Come join the FEC family!

USAWP Olympic Development Program

The ODP season has officially come to a close, and our athletes had a strong showing! A big congratulations to all the athletes who were selected to represent the Southeast Zone at the Regional Championships back in January in Greensboro, NC for a spot at the national tournament in March. On the boy’s side Bruno Beznos and Jared Burke were selected to the Southeast Zone Developmental team. Both Beznos and Burke would be selected to move onto the National Championships as well. Burke was selected to go onto the National Training Selection Camp (NTSCs) in May. With a strong performance there, Jared may have the chance to represent Team USA on a national team! Good luck Jared! On the Cadet side for the boys Tyler Lage and Christopher Cook were selected to represent the Southeast Zone at Greensboro. Tyler Lage was selected to be one of the two goalkeepers for the zone at the National Championships. Congrats to our boys. We look forward to your continuous development!

The girls also had a strong showing at the ODP level. Coral Uzgiden was selected to represent the Southeast Zone at Greensboro for the cadet age group. Bryanna Wood, Megan Smith, and Katherine McCann were selected to represent the youth age group. Katherine would be selected to the national tournament team for the Southeast. A big congrats to our ladies. Keep up the amazing work!

Lastly, our coaches. Coaches Kurt Predmore and Josh Needleman selected and coached at regionals and nationals for both boys and girls. Kurt is the head of SE ODP along with being the head coach for Developmental boys at both Greensboro and the National Championships this season. Coach Josh is the head goalkeeping coach for SE, assistant coach for Cadet boys at Greensboro, and acted as head coach for the youth girls at Nationals. Thank you both for your hard work and dedication! Congrats on another successful year of ODP. We are excited to keep growing our involvement with USA Water Polo’s national team pipeline. As always go FEC!
